UNCSA incoming freshman class of 2016-2017?

Hello everyone! I interviewed at UNCSA on February 12, 2016. I interviewed for a spot in their Makeup and Wig Design program in the school of Design and Production. The day I interview they told us that we would hear back in about 3 to 5 days. 2 weeks later and I finally get a letter from the school, telling me they had deferred a decision on my acceptance until March 4th. About a week and a half after March 4th; I decided to call the Admissions Office. I received no answer so I left my name, number, and briefly explained my reason for calling. Still no one has returned my call. My interview I feel went really well, the professors that interviewed me seemed to really like my work and all that I had to offer in terms of my portfolio and my love for makeup artistry. I would love to know if anyone else has gotten in as an incoming undergraduate for their makeup and wig design program for the upcoming 2016-2017. Please help me with my reassurance, I have about a month to pay tuition for either UNCSA or the other school I have gotten into.

I would call again. I think they sent out acceptance letters already for the school in general (but I do not know if that is done all at once or on a rolling basis). If accepted - they want a $500 deposit before May 1 (less if you live off campus). Good luck.

I haven’t gotten back anything since my letter of deferral. I called them on Monday and then once more, later today. Still no answer.

maybe that dept is still making decisions? I know drama waited until all auditions were done prior to notifying anyone. Hopefully it means you are still being considered. Are you calling your dept or the admissions dept? Maybe try your dept directly? There is also a link online to email admissions. maybe you can try that.

Yes. It really does depend on which school and which dept entirely. I know that people in the Scenic Tech found out whether they go in or not in about two weeks. And I have called the admissions officer of my specific school. She is in charge of the Admissions in the wig and makeup program.

fingers crossed for you!

Thank you! I am exhaustingly nervous and ready to make a final decision.
