Undecided?

<p>At this point, I’m applying undecided to the College. However, in my essay I talk about Wharton as one of the reasons as to why I’m applying to Wharton. Do these two facts contradict? I’m not applying to Wharton directly because it’s way too hard to get into right now, and I can apply my sophomore year once I’m in the College (assuming I get in).</p>

<p>Do many people apply undecided to the College? Does this show a lack of drive, that I’m unsure as to my major, or is it better to pick a major? Is this major binding? My focus/hook/ for my overall application is going to be debate/business/current events oriented.</p>

<p>Being undecided is no problem, but don't talk about Wharton in your essay about "why the college". It is equally hard to get into Wharton your sophomore year; don't assume that it's a given.</p>

<p>I don't think the college would look too kindly on you blatantly declaring your intent to "backdoor"</p>
