undeclared major even though I applied for biology major?

Hi! I just recently admitted to UCSD. When I applied for UCSD, I put down a biology major as my major choice. But on my myapplication, it says that my major status is undeclared. Does that mean I didn't get into my biology major choice? If so, do I need to fulfill the requirements that is stated on the enrollment management information (Enrollment Management Information) in order to be a biology major?

Please help! I am so confused what is going on

I think you didn’t get in. I think that you didn’t get into the bio department because of it’s impacted nature. Some people apply for mechanical engineering or bioengineering (also impacted) when they apply for UCSD but get in with their secondary major choice or undeclared. For some reason, the admissions board believes that you’re good enough for UCSD to get in without claim to a bio degree, forcing you to come in undeclared. This is what I’ve heard from other people/a long time ago. Who knows, maybe it was a mistake?

Edit: And yeah if that is the case, you’re going to have to follow what they say in that link

Oh ok. Thank you so much for clarifying somemanners :D
