<p>Generally no. However if the school has too many applicants for 1 major and not enough for another program, not applying to the oversubscribed one and applying to the under subscribed one possibly would increase your chances? Just my thought. But of course, you need to like the majors in the first place.</p>
<p>Depends on the school. Some schools admit freshmen by major, some admit all into an undeclared pool, regardless of intended major specified. Some do it differently in different divisions (e.g. arts and sciences versus engineering).</p>
