Under 60 unit minimum without AP credit. Help, I'm a fool with 25 minutes left.

“You have indicated that you are applying as a Junior level transfer student. The number of units you’ve reported (45.5 semester units/68.2 quarter units) does not meet the minimum required for the level you selected. The minimum number of units required for your level is 60 semester units/90 quarter units.”

This does not take into account units from AP courses correct?

Put some planned units for the winter semester or put extra planned units for spring semester

Lol I submitted it. I think I’ll be okay (I repeat to myself to ensure I didn’t ruin my life).

@Wannabeibanker It’s not that I actually do not have enough units. It’s that a good portion of my units come from AP exams. I input the AP exams I took, so I think I’ll be okay. I assume the app wouldn’t ask me if I meant to apply as a junior transfer if it was not possible to do so with the amount of units I had. I think they assume that if you are under the 60 unit minimum while applying as a junior, that you have AP credit?

That I would not know. But, you should be good if you have enough AP Units. What schools did you apply to?

In-state: All the UCs except for Riverside and Merced
Out-of-state: NYU, UW, and Cornell (ha!)

@annbern I’m in the exact same boat. Almost half of my units are from APs, and so just before submitting my app I had a mini panic attack when I saw the notification saying I was well below the 60 unit minimum. I researched it on the UC website and then emailed a counselor just to be sure, but yes it is just because they didn’t include APs when calculating your total units.

@TL0067 hahaha god I think I must have lost a good 6 and a half years off my life. Yup! Called a UC rep the day after and she confirmed what you said. Phew!
