undergad GPA before transferring: do law schools calculate it?

Most of the time, undergrad transfers do not carry over their old GPA, instead, they begin a fresh one at their new institution.

Do law schools include your old GPA as well? How much do they weigh that?

Random example to aid clarification: student has 3.4 first two years, then transfers (starts new GPA) and achieves a 3.95. LSAT=175. How does that student compare to someone who didn't transfer yet still achieved 3.95/175?

The LSDAS calculates the gpa from all colleges that you have attended. In short, they will calculate the gpa from your previous school with along with the gpa from your current school.

Thanks .
