Hello, I am currently a junior at a technical high school, where you choose a shop to be placed in. I am a criminal justice student and have been studying it. My extra curricular activities, like winning competitions hosted by the NJ State Bar Association, being on the Mock Trial Team, and participating in the criminal justice division of Skills USA, all of course relate criminal justice. (I volunteer at my local nursing home and am on the tennis team as well as golf team). I would like to apply for chemistry at Columbia undergrad, but my pattern revolves around criminal justice, so would it be better to apply for political science over chemistry? (as in, more of a chance of being accepted). Thank you. I would provide my academics, but haven't taken my SATs yet.

People do not apply for specific majors at Columbia. What is your GPA? or class ranking?
Are you one of the handful of top scholars at your HS? Has your HS successfully placed other students in colleges like CU? without your SATs, no one can even give you the vaguest of guesses – they’d be lying if they say otherwise. No one who applies (besides recruited athletes) has a good chance.
