Undergrad Business Finance - Rutgers Honors College or Northeastern Univ Boston

Cant decide between Rutgers Honors College ($13K grant + $13K Out of pocket per year) Vs Northeastern ($30K scholarship+ $32K out of pocket every year). Northeastern has a great Co-op program. But is it worth the additional $$ over 4 years? How is job placement at Rutgers compared to Northeastern?

In the same situation… I’d gladly connect you with my daughter. I’m strongly in favor of Rutgers, graduating debt free while my daughter is hoping to go to NEU. Can you afford NEU without loans? Here is my thread on the subject. Also check out Dave Ramsey’s video on Youtube.

My DS was in same situation and chose Rutgers yesterday. Cost would have been the same for either school. Honors College will offer internship and co-op opportunities. Proximity to wall street/networking possibilites was also a factor. If you have your heart set on NU there are ways to reduce costs, become a Resident Hall Advisor. Free room and board. My DD saves $15k yr at Syracuse as an RA. It’s a lot of work but worth it. Looks great on resume too. Good luck.

I am in same situation. Rutgers Honors college ( major in finance+ second major as CS or or accounting) with good scholarships, or 45K for GTech or 35K to UIUC . Not able to decide… Can you ask your kids to shoot their FB Id’s for a quick chat . thanks…

My daughter decided to accept the offer from Rutgers Honors College for Undergrad Business - Finance. Honors College students will have a brand new Residential building and the Business school campus is amazing. She wants to invest the additional $$ saved Vs not going to NEU, for her MBA later on. I think Rutgers Business school has good internships and Co-ops as well and there is no stopping good students from getting good jobs at either school.
