is this a feasible or in any way beneficial course of study? particularly for someone wishing to work in business law? or would law school get slightly redundant after undergrad business?

basically, is there any benefit to doing this? is it a good idea for someone who wants to work in either business or law, but isn't sure? do law schools consider undergrad business degrees valid and competitive?

It’ll harm your application a little bit, since law schools prefer academic majors (economics rather than business, biology rather than exercise science, etc.). But it won’t kill you.

Aside from getting a good LSAT score, anything one can do (in addition to GPA) to make that undergrad business major look more attractive to law schools?

Doing some research in the academic side of the field might help a little. Otherwise nothing particularly comes to mind.

If it’s a degree from say Wharton or Stern or another top business school at a top college then I would imagine any negative stigma against your major would be much less. Wharton sends undergrads to law school, but they do receive a BS in Econ which might soften the business blow. In fact, a strong undergrad business network coupled with a good law school could prove to be an advantage.
