I am an International student living in Singapore and I want to study business management in university. These are currently my top choices and I would appreciate it if you could help me decide which would be the best for my career. I know they are all in different countries so hopefully, I can hear different perspectives
I imagine Warwick and King’s College are direct admits to the major. At UVA you would apply to business school in 2nd year and admission is not guaranteed. So take that into consideration. Not sure how UBC would work.
I am hoping to go either into the field of business or IB. I know that the US system is generally more diverse and hands-on compared to the UK. Costs are somewhat of a concern as UVA is the most expensive out the 4.
As IzzoOne mentioned, all schools except UVA are direct admits so that is another thing to consider.
I would definitely recommend either UBC (Sauder) or Warwick. Both have excellent business management programs. I think that the UBC program is a little more flexible as compared to Warwick where you have a direct admit. UBC also allows for Co-Op programs that cut down costs as well as provide decent internship/ job experience before your graduation. However, Warwick means graduation in 3 years, so its less costly and you get into the industry a lot quicker. But, UK as a whole is less welcoming to international students and offers less work visas as compared to Canada. I would read up more about the programs in these two universities, see if you like the modules and courses offered.
I agree with @Imma.
UBC (Sauder) all the way.
They are very friendly to internationals, there’s a large diverse population, and it’s in world-class city.
