Undergrad Course Load

How will law schools perceive a student who only took 12 units/semester during college (still graduated in 4 years) but did very well in those classes?

I can't answer your question, but I think it could be a great idea. It would make a HUGE difference if you could use the extra time to make 4.0s instead of 3.7s and a 175 instead of a 170.

I totally agree! You still graduate in 4 years, so it isn't like you're missing anything. And as mradio said, that would be a great time to boost your LSAT scores, while mantaining a great GPA. :-)

It looks fine. I think that course load is waaaay down on the list of things which law schools care about when admitting students (although, arguably, it should be much higher, as a student who can handle a heavy course load will succeed in law school)... the number of courses you take is a little note on the LSDAS sheet (LSDAS, in case you don't know, gathers all of your information and puts it in a standardized form). I've done a ton of research into l.s. admissions and have NEVER heard of "course load" being a factor. You're out in four years - that's all that matters.
