Undergrad in UK then MBA in US?

hey,

ive recently been accepted at both U michigan and Imperial college(UK). im thinking of going ahead with imperial but, if i do go ahead and do my undergrad in the UK, will it disadvantage me in any way to apply for an MBA in US as suppose to going to michigan?

ie. do US colleges prefer US graduates over UK graduates for their MBA programs?

No, they don’t. What really matters is what you’ve accomplished since graduating from college. The top MBA schools want to see proof that you are future senior management material, based on what you’ve accomplished thus far professionally, and that you can bring an interesting perspective to your class/section.

What might make a difference is the availability of internships. Check into Imperial’s ability to assist you with that. US employers may not be recruiting summer interns at your school or interviewing there when you are graduating. Depending on your citizenship, this may or may not be a problem for you.

Imperial college is definitely your better option. It is one of the most elite UK universities. Top Banks and firms recruit a lot from Imperial.
