Undergrad major conflict!

Eventually, I plan to work to become a neurosurgeon which would include me specializing in Neurosciences at whatever medical school I choose to go to (or get in to).

The university I will be attending next year offers a B.S. in Cognitive Science and a B.S. in Human Biology.

Which would be better for the career path I want to take? I'm leaning more toward Human Bio because its broader than Cognitive Science and I may change my mind and become a general surgeon. But if I do still wish to pursue neurosurgery, will Cognitive Science be the better choice of major?

Please help!

You don’t specialize in medical school, and therefore you cannot specialize in neurosciences in medical school. Your major has no bearing on your eventual specialty choice, which is very subject to change anyway.

In other words: pick whichever seems more fun to you. They’re both fine.

(*I assume that “Human Biology” is either Stanford’s major, or is structured very similarly to Stanford’s Human Biology major. If not, then you might want to be cautious about what it entails.)
