Undergrad Majors + Minors?

Currently, I am a junior in high school interested in going to law school later in life. I want to go into a biology major, most likely at SUNY stony brook. My step dad is also a lawyer and got his bachelors is international relations/political science. These areas don’t pique my interest as much, and I’d like to have the biology major to fall back on in case law school falls through/ends up not being for me. Thats all backgrounds info; my real question lies in minors. At stony brook, students are allowed at maximum of 3 minors. I’m considering minoring in either English, Political Science, or French. I want to further my foreign language with French, and English would show intensive reading. Political science is obvious as to why I’m considering it. While I technically could do all three, that doesn’t seem wise. Which of the 3 (or a combination of 2) would any law students suggest I take? Which would be most beneficial? Thanks for any answers.

Majors/minors don’t matter as much as A’s, and lots of 'em.

Major in what you like. If you like foreign language, take some courses in that area. You will tend to perform better in subjects that you enjoy.

btw: Lower division stem courses (including Bio), have difficult grading curves.

Biology is not really a good fallback in terms of major-specific job opportunities if you do not go to law school, since you will be competing with numerous failed pre-med biology majors for those major-specific job opportunities.

Also, expect a high degree of grade competition in biology major courses because of all of the pre-meds competing for A grades that they need to keep medical school admission a possibility.
