undergrad schools

Hello, my kid will be going to college in Fall 2010..just wanted to find out how NYIT and Drexel rank for undergrad 5 year architecture programs..other schools he plans to apply to are syracuse, njit, pratt (ny), penn state..how do all these schools rank for a student with a 4.0 gpa and lots of extracurricular activities

any ideas/thoughts/tips will be welcome as i am a a newcomer to the entire college process

NYIT and Drexel haven’t shown up on the rankings i’ve looked at (i’m also applying for undergrad architecture), but i’m sure they have a respectable architecture program.

Syracuse’s architecture program used to be top in the country from what my guidance counselor told me, and pratt’s well known as an arts/architecture school. Has he considered cornell/cooper union/risd (although risd’s in ri, not the ny/nj/pa area)?

Compering Drexler with NYIT is an insult to Drexler

P.S. Syracuse is Nation’s top 10 (many people forget that)

you should look into these to articles:

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, but Cooper Union and Cornell are extremely competitive and have alow acceptance rate

Thanks for sharing the links. It appears that Drexel’s program is new as to what I heard. Drexel and NYIT both want him there, and I tried researching it on the internet, but had no luck. yes, he does plan to apply to Rice and UT at Austin as well.
