Undergraduate Debt

How much is a reasonable amount of debt to take on as an undergrad? Is there a standard when it comes to this or does it vary?

Also, how do people pay for actual medical school? Is it purely in loans or are there other means by which people afford it?

Mostly loans, I think. Stafford is very good for med students. Grad students can take out a max of $20,500 per year but med school students can take out $40,500, which I think helps with living expenses and stuff. That's just what I've read. Those numbers are right, though.
