Undergraduate Economics in UMN

<p>Is anyone here taking economics in CLA?</p>

<p>How is the course in terms of teaching and reputation?</p>

<p>I have made many researches myself and it seems to be that the U's economics is very good for postgraduate. However there is close to no info available to see how it's undergrad Econs department rank.</p>

<p>Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm deciding between UK schools like LSE, UCL and Wariwick n UMN and although they ranked much higher but I really like the American education system and the cost of attendance is also cheaper for UMN. It's just that I still need to know more about the U before making the decision.</p>

<p>I believe that the undergraduate economics program at UMN is much better than at any UK school. I saw a ranking where the undergraduate section of UMN is placed 12th in the world for social sciences! <p>I also believe that the US system of education is much better than the UK one. It seems to be more interesting, fun, and relaxing to study in the US than UK. CLA is the biggest of all colleges at UMN, so undergraduate programs like Political Science, Economics, and Psychology should be excellent there. </p>

<p>You also said that you received a Gold Scholarship. I didn’t receive that one, so I’m just curious what was your GPA and SAT? Thanks for response</p>
