<p>I love the campus and Minneapolis, but how are the academics? I've heard all that stuff about huge transfer rates and dropouts and its made me a bit wary of going here.</p>

<p>This may or may not help, but: Yea, the academics there are anything but inferior, their econ and political science departments are ranked really high, especially for a public school. I'm not trying to generalize, but the transfer rate may be due to students going to more prestigious universities. I know umn was my safety, and I got skrewed by my other choices, so I plan to transfer after freshman year.</p>
