Can someone tell me a little more about the senior honor thesis?

Is it your calling card to employers?
Should you write it on something related to what your majoring in?
Do some people write two thesis? (on two separate topics)?

I think you have to write about something related to your major. The whole process is usually a departmental thing (your thesis advisor will be in your major dept., you will defend your thesis to professors from your dept.). I don't think it makes much of a difference to employers. For some people the idea of graduating "with honors" is alluring enough to thesis. For people going to graduate schools, it looks really good because it means you have some experience publishing. And unless you are double majoring, you can't write two theses. It would probably be a bad idea to write two anyway, considering a thesis is many many pages long and involves like a year of work.
