For the past year and a half, I've been working with a prof in my dept. (sociology) on independent research with plans of doing an honors thesis senior year. Though I'm interested in the topic, I'm admittedly pretty sick of research, especially when I could be taking more interesting classes my senior year. The research would be unrelated to my future goals (consulting or grad school for health administration), but obviously I'd get some great transferrable skills, etc

I guess my question would be, given the demands of an honors thesis, how much will doing one help me out in the future? Will having "honors" next to sociology on my resume make that much of a difference? (I'm also in the honors program for Management, which thankfully doesn't need a thesis).
