Hi, I've just started thinking about pursuing neuroscience, but for undergrad, I really wanted to major in English and maybe computer science or psychology. Do graduate schools for neuroscience look for a specific undergrad major? Or, like law school, can I major in virtually anything?

They look for certain classes like g chem, o chem, physics, and a lot of various biology classes depending on the graduate department. So if you major in something other than biology, make sure you can still take all the classes you need to get in.

Graduate programs will also be looking for research in a related area, try to get into a neuro lab.

Wow, that’s a lot of classes! All I’ve taken so far that might fit is one semester of Chemistry (with a lab) and one semester of Calculus. I don’t think I’d be able to fit enough of those classes if I had a different major.
