Undergraduate Research Assistant in Psychology / Cognitive Neuroscience?

Hello,

I've recently emailed a lab at Duke University regarding my interests relating to their research, along with asking if they're taking any undergraduate research assistants.
However I'm currently not a student and Duke - In fact, I'm a student at a local community college (that is made aware in the CV) so a chance to be interviewed for an undergraduate research position at Duke University would be beyond a pleasure.

Luckily I just received confirmation for a scheduled interview at the lab on Thursday and I'm slightly nervous of what to expect.

Does anyone have any knowledge with undergraduate RA interviews?

Thanks,

Tyler

I don’t think not being a Duke undergrad will hurt your chances- as long as you show interest and enthusiasm, you should be fine. I suggest reading about some of the papers the PI have published and bring them up during the interview, especially what you found interesting about them. This preparedness will make you stand out. Good luck!
