Scifacturing Lab is now recruiting 1-2 undergraduate researchers. All students who are passionate about conducting research are welcome to submit your resume. Engineering majors are preferred.
Our lab aims at fabrication of nanocomposite to enhance the mechanical properties of metals. Our lab is experiment oriented. Thus, you could gain experiences in advance technologies. Also, you will enjoy the multi-cultural environment in this lab.
The basic requirements are as follows:
- Commitment of at least 10 hours per week, including participation in weekly meetings.
- Weekly report, showing your work updates.
- Students with knowledge of fundamental intermolecular forces, metal properties, composite material, and nanocomposites are preferred.
- Good communication skills and writing skill. Able to read scientific papers.
- Willing to learn Solidworks, Matlab, and Labview, or with experiences of these softwares.
Undergraduate students participated in Scifacturing lab are able to enroll in MAE 199 for course credits.
