Hi, I’m an undergraduate student at Stephen F. Austin State University. I’m hoping to transfer in spring of 2019 and i was just wondering what my chanced were. My current GPA is a 3.44, but that is only because i received a C my first semester (i had never really written an essay before, and it was an all essay class, and I am frankly proud i passed because he flunked half the class) This semester i intend to end with a 3.8, but a 4.0 is not unlikely (my spanish class is a toss up, but i’m sure i’ll get at least a B) this summer i plan to take summer classes to get rid of the C from the first semester (my school has a policy where if you retake a course, they’ll replace the first grade with the second) and i’m sure i can make an A this time. Assuming all goes to plan, by July of this year (when i have to send in my applications) i’ll have between a 3.71 and a 3.90, with the 3.81 being the median (and most likely.) Would my worst-case-scenario GPA be high enough to transfer from SFA (a four year institution) to UT college of liberal arts, or A&M college of liberal arts? thanks for getting back to me.
