I write. It's all I do! I want to go to a college where I can write... and write... and, well, write, and then be led to a career that involves writing. What colleges are known for their undergraduate writing programs?

I know Barnard is strong for writers, and I know that Medill at NU and Missouri School of Journalism are strong for students of journalism, but I would like to broaden my perspective!

USC not only has a great journalism program, but a program called the Thematic Option as well. Its a honors curriculum that replaces the general ed requirements and it focuses overwhelmingly on reading and writing.

Johns Hopkins has the incredible Writing Seminars creative writing program. I was quite surprised and I'm eager to take one of those classes to see what it is like.

im a writer too! i ended up deciding on Hamilton College because it has one of the best writing programs in the nation and they are one of the only schools i could find with a creative writing major (not just english).

Other colleges with amazing writing programs are Middlebury, Kenyon, Barnard, Oberlin, Franklin and Marshall, Brown, and NYU.

NYU and Boston University are really great schools for journalism.
