I read the cliff notes for AP biology as well as the "Preparing for the biology AP exam" that goes along with the text book we use (Biology, seventh edition / Campbell Reece) Our teacher gave us that one and it has been WAY more helpful to me than the AP cliff notes, but it's personal preference.

I found the best way to review is take practice tests (I have old AP bio MC tests that they released) and I also took the two in the one preperation book and the one in the AP cliff notes. They help quite a bit. :)

Hm...yeah, I've taken all of the practice tests, too, and averaged around 110-112 correct for all of them. Might've been higher if I hadn't been practically falling asleep.

I'm seriously debating just going "screw it" and not studying, but I'm worried about the essays and I'm also trying to figure out how much of my high score came from my teacher using some of those questions on her tests.

Oh well. Guess I'll go over anatomy, plants, and cell respiration/photosynthesis and hope for the best.

Oh, and can anyone explain Hardy-Weinburg to me? That's what I usually get the most points off with. Rawrgh.

That may be so, but not understanding Hardy-Weinburg has been bugging me. My teacher just kind of goggled at me when I told her I didn't get it--I don't think she believed me. T_T

Neo: This is what they have on the collegeboard website:

C. Ecology (10%)

Just took the CliffsAP practice exam at the end.
I must not have absorbed the information well. Got a 3 :(
But there's still tonight and tomorrow, people.

Anyone else using PR? I have Cliffs, but I can't read it. I find it really dry and I like how PR is textbook style rather than bullets. I like the tone used in PR, also. I know most people here like Cliffs, but I think PR works for me. I read Cliffs all of today, but I can't take it anymore.

PR is definitely the most entertaining one... in every study-type book I've read by PR, it's never boring. (some of the jokes they make are stupid, but it's the stupidity that makes it funny =P)

But I'm still commited to Cliffs... since I've been reading it nonstop this weekend anyway, might as well finish it up ^^ But oh... the headache >.<

lazybutsmart, im in the same boat. just got home from a weekend convention today---must begin studying after half-assing the class the entire year....can miracles happen?

I LOOOOOOVE 5 steps to a 5. I read like the first half of that book and got an 82/100 on a released exam. It covers the basics sufficiently--not sure how it would do for FRQs, though
