Unfair Expulsion from a community college.

You've done about all you can. The transcripts should get released when the FERPA stuff goes through. Something really isn't adding up with the story though. Community Colleges usually don't care enough to try and mess up a kid this bad.

I feel thay way too, chuy. Student in question must be sure he is aware that if he calls on any outsiders to help him resolve this, it is likely he will have to document much about his record there, and maybe his personal life to win his case. If we don't have all the facts, or if there is something else going on he doesn't want people to know about, then he might be better off not raising this to such a high profile.

younghoss,

There is nothing that can be used against him in a court , however, he just want this thing not to be public...meaning his expulsion although all his friends know about this anyway.

I didn't really mean legally in a court, although that does have some merit. I mean, the allegations of sex harrassment, his expulsion, and maybe other factors we don't know here could lead to embarrassing release of info.

If I called the college today, how would it characterize the situation?

yes, the vague- nothing will hold up in court- phrase hints to me that the transferring student has done something seriously wrong, and is having difficulty because he is withholding info in hopes that wrongdoing won't become public.

Student is a guest of that Locale, guest of that State, guest of the United States. Student should not abuse the priviledges of being a guest by being active politically. His guest status in the United States is assumed to be a student visa and thus his first and primary purpose is to Learn and Think, not espousing politics.

He may have no standing. Explusion is fair.

Undocumented aliens. What rights and priviledges do you afford these "residences?"

Part of the National Debate.

Not that I agree with this analysis, but did I miss something? I don't think this has anything to do with politics.

Lux have you had any luck getting a lawyer or other help??

LongPrime,

I don't believe that foreign students shold be allowed to Learn and Think, but not Speak, lest they be expelled. Now, if they threaten National Security they should be reported to the DHS for possible deportation, but that does not seem to be the case. What I see here (if the political issue was in fact the cause for his expulsion) is a young man who spoke against the current school administration and ended up on the receiving end of their anger.

Too many holes in the cheese..so to speak.
CC's don't just arbitrarily toss students. We don't know the whole story.
