Unfair grading by my college professor?

I go to a CCC. I recently took the final hoping to receive an A since I had an A in the class. Instead, I get a 0/100 on the final for who knows what, or what I suspect may be because I forgot to write the class time on the scantron. I know have a C- as my unofficial grade and this is extremely unfair. Can I get this appealed? I messaged the professor and I got no response and I also messaged the Dean today hoping for one. Please help!

I doubt we can help much, except to say that you must contact the Professor immediately. Try every means of contact available ~ email, phone, in-person, etc., until you find out what the problem is.

OK, you’ve contacted the professor. Follow up on Monday, via phone.

It’s entirely possible that it’s a simple error-- he bubbled in “90” and the “9” didn’t go through.

But I wouldn’t rely on email; I would speak to someone in his office or his department ASAP.

Did you put your name on it?

If you don’t get a response, contact the department chair and then the Dean, up the line. Also, don’t go into the conversations, saying the professor is unfair. Let this come out as the explanations evolve. Start by asking why you got a 0/100 on the exam? Explain that you had been doing well in the class and it was a totally unexpected result. You need to find out why before deciding whether it involves any unfair behavior.
