Is anyone really unhappy at Yale? From people I've talked to and from epople on this thread, I really dont think I've talked with one person who dislikes Yale. Most have loved it, and the others, are prefedtly happy. Can anyone speak otherwise? Anyone unhappy at Yale? Reasons?

I know someone who goes to yale himself, and he's told me that there are ppl that are unhappy there
only because they expected it to be something so much greater and more different than what it actually is
some ppl went in expecting the atmosphere to be like oxford or something and obviously it wasn't

I'm a junior and I don't know anyone who is unhappy here

This is what I think accounts for most of the unhappiness you hear about at Harvard too. The reality is quite good but it can't possibly live up to the hype. Same for Yale, although there may well be more disappointed people at H than at Y.

Its one of those schools that has surprisingly high student satisfaction, perhaps not for individual departments or classes, but just for the school as a whole. Some other schools I've noticed like this are Stanford and Wesleyan.
