<p>if that doesn't work out, then mitchell is right next to thurston, so you can go over there easily any time you want. and if you are worried about not having a roommate, i heard that everyone leaves their doors open so you the whole floor ends up basically becoming your roommates.</p>
<p>This may not be much consolation, but you never know what silver lining there might be hiding behind that dorm's cloud. Our S got his last choice dorm, was so upset that he actually considered going to a different school. He hated the idea of being off main campus. But he stuck with it, met great people, and 4 years later is still friends with lots of them, and still with the girl who lived in the room next door. You just never know how things may end up. <p>Except that it's going to be nearly impossible to swap out of Mitchell... there are about 25 people looking to switch.</p>
<p>after thr first 3 weeks of school, you can make a switch if you find someone who you want to live with and another person wants to switch with you.</p>
