I just want to hear some feedback and suggestions. Anything will be appreciated.

I am a military veteran and have a very success professional career in my field. I scored a 3.79 GPA at a local CC and transferred to Columbia University. I have 3+ GPA at Columbia, but after this semester I fear it will be below. I am looking to transfer to another four year university. Has anyone with a subpar GPA from an Ivy transferred to another tier 1 university? I am also considering a return to my local CC next semester.

Thank you for your time.

Is Columbia asking you to leave based on your GPA? Are you losing a scholarship because of the drop in your GPA? Do you just hate your classes/major/whatever? Have you decided that Columbia is just plain the wrong place for you to be? Are your grades so bad that they never will recover?

Why can't you just stay put, and pull your grades up?

If you don't need any particular GPA to continue in your professional field, as long as you maintain grades that will let you graduate from Columbia, I would say just stop worrying about this. 30 years out of college, no one cares that my Famous-Name-LAC transcript shows a final GPA of 2.7. All that matters is the Famous-Name on my resume.

Wishing you all the best.

I am leaving voluntarily because of finances. My finance aid is paltry already and may drop after this academic year.

If you have not already done so, talk to the financial aid office and plead your case for more money.

wayward_trojan,

I have pleaded my case numerous times and it has fallen on deaf ears. Honestly, I should not have to "beg" for financial aid when Columbia College students receive need based aid easily.
