<p>Hi everyone. I finished writing my essays for my Yale app and I had a question. I realized from reading some of your posts that it's beneficial to write about an ec/passion? I didn't do that for my common app or yale supplemental essays and I was wondering if it really would actually benefit me. I've done some stuff that would be impressive to explain in an essay, but I thought it would be arrogant or lame. Plus, I already have two very unique, very personal essays that talk about things that have changed my life. So what do you think?</p>

<p>By the way if it isn't clear, I'm applying for regular decision.</p>

<p>If you already have two unique essays, then I don't think you need a ec/passion essay. It's definitely not a requirement to write about an ec, so don't worry!</p>

<p>You don't need to write about a passion for a personal statement.</p>

<p>As long as those experiences have changed you, you're fine.</p>
