<p>UW-Madison is awarding 3 full 4 year scholarships to students winning the New York Knicks Poetry Slam competition.</p>

<p>Thanks, I missed that one. At the Fall meeting of the Bascom Hill Society at UW they featured a spoken word and hip-hop dance segment. I thought it was both something I had not heard before and very entertaining. The sight of a well-dressed 98+% white and over 40 crowd watching such an event was pretty unique. I thought UW took a risk using that as the main entertainment segment for the night but it worked out.
UW is developing a pretty good base in those things and using that as a tool to recruit more minority kids. Congrats to the NY Badgers for stepping up.</p>

<p>Our office is about 50% busier than it was earlier in the year so work takes priority. Even put in a Sunday.</p>
