United World College

Hi there
So I've always wanted to travel and want to go into international business or politics. From someone's who has been there, could you tell me the activities you did before you were accepted into UWC please?

EC:
Piano, Royal conservatory grade 7
Dance, 12 hours a week, Advanced 1 exam DONE!
Yoga
Photography
Field Hockey team

Service:
Started own charity called Jack's Jobot in honour of my grandpa who worked in a small village in India as a doctor for 4 years. all money raised goes toward new medical supplies
Youth mentor with Women's Association in my city for immigrant teens
Was a computer buddy with the library
On South City Youth Council

In school:
model UN

environmental club
debate club
partial IB, grades above an 85 in regular classes, 92 in IB
interact club

In the making:
Possibly a 28 day service trip to Swaziland if I can raise the money

For those who have been there, I know it's an amazing experience, but I want to know if I'm on the right track. Is this sort of what you did? And by the way, the majority of this I was doing before I heard of UWC.

I think admissions vary dramatically from country to country so it would be helpful for you to indicate your home country. Also, some international (and U.S. students) are discussing UWCs on the Common Application board for some reason. They might have some insights.

Hello! I’m planning to apply to UWC from Italy, and I was looking for other people who are starting the same application process now. Are there discussions about UWC in other threads? I can’t seem to find recent ones. I’m new to this website by the way… thanks!
