Does anyone know:
1) how many units a USC student typically takes in a semester?
2) what are the maximum/minimum units that are allowed?

Thanks!

"A normal academic load is 16 units per semester for undergraduate students, 8 units (500-level) for graduate students. The university recommends that undergraduates register for no more than 18 units and graduates for no more than 16 units. Permission to enroll in more than 20 units requires written approval from the school or home department."

You are paying for up to 18 units a semester, while 16 units is normal. My usual schedule includes one fun one or two unit class- a freshman or sophomore seminar, a PE class like step aerobics or yoga, or something else similar. The other 16 units are for my normal classes.
