Univ. of Mich and CSS

My D applied EA to U-M. We have not received a decision. When do we submit the CSS? On the U-M financial aid website, it says:
If you are applying for admission to U-M to attend beginning in the Fall Term, complete the current year FAFSA and CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE at the time you apply for admission.
Should we have submitted the CSS by the Nov. 1 EA deadline? The only other date I see is the April 30 Priority Deadline for financial aid documents.

Addendum: I just found a Financial Aid timeline on the U-M Financial Aid website. There is states that January/February is the time to submit the CSS/Financial Aid Profile. So I’m guessing I haven’t missed the deadline. Is there an advantage in filling it out early? Or is it safe to wait until early 2015, after we have received tax documents?

I found more answers to my own questions that I’ll post here in case anyone else is curious. I called the U-M Financial Aid Office and heard on a recording that they recommend completing and submitting the CSS Profile at the same time as the FAFSA. It is not necessary to turn it in early (with EA application).

It seems you got the answer already. Although April 30 is the absolute deadline for CSS profile and FAFSA, one should submit them by March 1 as certain fundings are limited. Last year, we submit CSS profile in mid January and FAFSA in early February. To make life easier, you may do both on the same day so that the assets would match up between them. They will use your FAFSA data to verify the CSS profile. So make sure you do verify your FAFSA with DRT as soon as possible in order to get the final financial aid award letter earlier. After the estmiated award letter, they may ask you to submit some document for verification too. We waited for a month before sending in the support documents in mid April and we received the official award letter after May 1. Fortunately, the changes were in our favor as the enrollment deposit has been paid. Therefore, I suggest you to complete the process earlier.
