@meltingsoull Don’t worry. You are not alone. I have two boys waiting to hear. We’re in the bay area and our portal has not updated and we have not received a letter. They are out playing frisbee.
@Bawlmer @meltingsoull I’m from the bay (Cupertino) and I know lots of people who already got their decisions, but also many who have not. I think they just randomly send out piles of decisions. They are still processing all these piles, so there is still hope!

My son’s unofficial transcript loaded last night about 11 pm Seattle time. He is pre-engineering, out of state, from Virginia. SAT: 670 math, 740 verbal and 31 ACT with 32 for math. GPA 3.7 unweighted. Just 3 APs senior year. Feel very lucky he got in, but still will have to compete for his preferred engineering major. That is a real downside for UW. You are taking a big risk of not getting your major and not finding out until the end of sophomore year. May be better to go to another school that can give better assurance you have a meaningful chance of getting your major instead of the crap shoot at UW. I was UW Law and my husband UW undergrad, so this is a real disappointment the way they handle engineering majors.
You can check online guys. If you’re really anxious (like me) you can go online and make a UW NetID, log in to it, and on your homepage it’ll say “UW Seattle Campus Applications:” in bold and then underneath it you can click on “Freshman Application: autumn quarter 2016” and on mine it opened up to an acceptance letter!
I live in kent, wa 1 hour away from UW seattle. I haven’t received my decision yet, i was wondering what portal are you guys talking about and how do you check it.
