chicago > gtown pretty much unless you are in sfs and majoring in international policy or something.

I think it's funny how many people would be changing their song and dance if Chicago was below Georgetown on the 'prestigious' U.S. News 'Rankings'.

I respectfully disagree, especially when you consider that most would also chose it over Rice, cornell, JHU.... and they'reall ranked above... anyone who takes the time to look at USNWR's methodology will realize that just about the one factor that is not weighed in is the actual quality of education that the school provides.

USNWR sucks in pretty much all aspects.

You could trust their rankings to the nearest quarter but more than that and you are stretching it. There is no "best" school, it simply doesnt exist. I love it here in chicago but if I wanted to major in engineering I would be pretty screwed...

Rankings based on individual programs are usualy more substantial but what happens when you decide to change majors?

I didn't say everyone :-)
I think there is a best college for everyone, but one 'best' college doesn't exist. I know kids who turned down Chicago to go to schools like middlebury, just because it was more for them. Nothing wrong with it, they're still getting a great education.
Actually I think the lack of respect from most people for liberal arts colleges is slightly dissapointing. Not much of a complainer here though, the hidden gems stay hidden :-)

Gramarye College should fit most people's needs. Unfortunately, my dream is not yet fulfilled, so I must agree with you. :(
