I have good grades, but I cant afford a 50k school. I know that the free tuition schools include
-stanford, harvard, yale, upenn, cornell, columbia

I will apply to those but I am not certain that I could get in. are there any schools that offer free tuition like UCLA or berkeley (cause I think that I can get into those).

If you’re a National Merit Semi-Finalist, I believe Alabama still has full rides for those. Also, Princeton has the best financial aid of all the Ivies (actually ranked first for schools with students with the least debt - excluding the service academies, where tuition is free anyway). Princeton covers all of the student’s calculated need and makes every effort that you don’t have to take out a loan.

There are a lot of universities out there that only offer need-based financial aid, and most of those meet 100% of your demonstrated need. (Not just the ivies.)

Feel free to look on various schools’ websites under Financial Aid.

Many top LACs (liberal arts colleges) will provide you with a good financial aid package, often with no loans.
Also, Berea College in Kentucky is an excellent school that is reserved for students from low-income families. It’s very competitive, but if you’re admitted, it’s free - you have to work on campus for your room and board, but the school and donors pay for your tuition, the rest of room/board, etc.

Are you a NMSF? If so there are TONS places that you can go to for free. The University of Kentucky, for example, will cover tution, room, and board and give you a tablet and a $1000/year stipend (which will basically just be for books). You can also apply for a Singletary Scholarship, which does not require NMSF, which will give all of the above plus an extra $500/year.
