I’m currently a community college student with a GPA of 3.8 and I’m in the honors program. I want to major in aerospace engineering and I’m about an hour drive from Los Angeles. I’m trying to make a list of schools to apply to for transfer. If you any recommendations for schools I should consider in Southern California I’d really appreciate it.

Are you an in-state CA community college student?
Cal Poly SLO also has Aerospace Engineering. I guess technically it’s Central California, but close enough to consider.
I forgot Cal Tech for Southern California.
Northern California you have Stanford, SLO, UC Davis and San Jose State.
Are you planning on commuting? If not, why limit to southern cal?
If you are planning on commuting, then "I’m about an hour drive from Los Angeles. " doesnt’ really tell us much. Are you an hour north of LA? An hour east of LA? An hour south of LA?
If you’re in the Orange County area, we would recommend different schools than if you lived in - say - Simi Valley.
