University of Buffalo??

<p>I'm heading to UB over the summer for research (I'm from California), and have no clue about the campus, what the weather is like, any area in of Buffalo I should avoid or be cautious about, ect. Tell me all you know! Attractions, tips, ect. </p>

<p>ck with the Buffalo forum, OP; they’ll be much more familiar with the city. The one thing I remember about buffalo when I was looking at grad programs was that the average number of days over 90 degrees was one. Granted, that was before global warming :)) </p>

<p>UB North or South Campus? UB North is in a nice suburb of Buffalo close to everything. It’s a huge campus but nice and basically safe. UB South is a totally different story. The areas around the campus are sketchy. Crime is a real problem. They had tons of daylight car break-ins a few years back but public safety was very proactive. They went so far as to put flyers warning people to hide valuables and lock doors on most cars. I personally have never had a problem at either campus and have felt safe walking during the daylight. </p>
