University of California-Berkeley and Carnegie Mellon

Hi.
Im a student from India. Im looking to apply for a degree in Computer Science Engineering in UCB and Carnegie Mellon. I got an SAT score of 2090. I just gave my Subject Sat in physics chemistry and Math-2. Im also going to be giving my ACT exam on June 11th. My tenth boards percentage was 96.6% and 11th grade results were 91.08% . What sort of chances do i have with my current scores? What sort of Subject SAT and ACT scores should i aim for to get accepted at these colleges?
Your views will be much appreciated. Thanks

You need to find out how your GPA translates into a UC GPA.

UCB doesn’t give any aid to OOS or int’ls, so will your parents pay the $55k+ to go there? You’d have the add’l costs of int’l travel and health insurance, so add in about $5k for those two things.

What is your M+CR score?

I think you’d have a harder time getting into CMU than UCB unless your UC GPA isn’t strong. The UCs seem to now like the full pay OOS/Int’ls to help with their budget issues.

The tuition fee isnt a problem. I got a 780 On the Math Section and a 650 in CR. And how do i find out what my UC GPA is? @mom2collegekids

You are not strong enough imo, being indian you hsould have done much better. Competition si too high, your scores are not good, look in to michingan ann harbour

yeah i should have got an 800 in Math but i got a question wrong. Anyway im giving ACT so that i can get a much better score. @happywharton
