Recommendations
I think they are going to be really good

Essay's are also going to be spectacular

Also chance me for UC Berkeley and other good schools

I know what situation you’re coming from. My brother moved here when in 11th grade.

You need to somehow justify your bad grades, otherwise I’m thinking mid to high reach for both Carnegie and Berkeley.

What is your intended major, I am leaning towards a high reach due to the GPA…

Your GPA and SAT score are well below the average for UCB and CMU. Unless you’re a URM, it’s probably going to be a high for CMU, and berkeley doesn’t do affirmative action so it’s a high reach.

Hey thanks everyone. Cmu is my first choice school. My intended
Major is computer engineering and this is a speculative GPA which I will have once I am done with my junior year. Also as for my unweighted GPA. That is very low because I have B’s so does Cmu convert your weighted to unweighted.

What’s URM and affirmative action?

URM = Under Represented Minority (which you are not)
Affirmative Action = (read this Wikipedia article, it is too hard to summarize in a sentence or two) [Affirmative action in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Affirmative action in the United States - Wikipedia)

Oh ok thanks. I am Indian. I don’t think that it’s an URM. Also English is my second language and I know five languages

Berkeley: Reach (if you’re willing to pay full freight it’s reachable)
CMU: Reach

I am ready to pay what I have to. I don’t mind paying. The problem is getting in

I would say reach, but somewhat possible. Major downfall is your GPA. Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1433075-chance-me-sunys-cunys.html

They’re both high reaches with your SAT, especially considering the fact that you’re applying for Comp Engineering

Thanks everyone and I will chance you back once I am on my laptop. I am definitely working in my SAT and there is a possibility that I might send my ACT in if a get a 31 Or above. It that good? Which one is the better option

Honestly an increase in scores won’t help much with your GPA. A 31 is a good score, but it is currently hypothetical and your weighted GPA is lower then what you would want your unweighted to be.

My weighted by the end of this year can be a 3.8 on a 5 scale and my weighted would still be like 3.1
