University of California will dropping art class my senior year affect admissions?

I am a senior right now, and I took my fine arts at a community college already, so I dont need it any more.
But I took a ceramics course this year, and it is too time consuming when I have other AP classes that I should be worrying about.

I already told the UC's that I would be taking ceramics 2nd semester, and put it as "planned" to take next semester.
If I drop this class will it affect my acceptance?
I already know that they will not see my dropped fine art class until I am accepter already, but I am afraid they will not like to see me flake out on one of my classes and reconsider my acceptances.

What would happen if I dropped this semi-important ceramics class..
Do I need to write a letter, etc?
please help
THANKS

I think dropping the class would be a REALLY bad idea.. ceramics is definitely one of the most important classes in the academic world.

You do need to inform each UC to which you have applied of any changes to your academic history or schedule.

Having said that, I don't know how important another fine/performing arts class is to UC schools. This requirement was only added when UC and CSU decided to align their requirements. Up until a few years ago, there was no such a-g requirement. It was a-f and it was just the CSU's that wanted this thing.

On the other hand, if dropping the ceramics class makes an already weak senior schedule look even weaker, I wouldn't do it. But if you've got 5 solid academic courses, an extra fine arts class probably doesn't make that much difference, assuming the cc course you took satisfies the fine arts requirement.
