The University of Central Florida offers a very strong NMF package (as near as I can tell it is a full ride or very close to it). Reading the stats on the college it seems like a vibrant, growing university with many strong academic areas. Its engineering department seems to be well-funded with opportunities for undergraduate work/research. In addition, the honors dorm looks amazing.

I have been in contact with the NMF coordinator for the school and they are very interested in having NMSF's visit and will set up personalized tours. They even have a NMSF open house in November.
Has anyone else done the personalized UCF tour? Or, better yet, can anyone share their/their student's experience as an undergraduate at the school?

We visited when my daughter was a Freshman since we were in the Orlando area anyhow. We were very impressed with what we heard and saw specifically at the Burnett Honors college. It is a true honors program within a large university and they treat the honors students very well. We actually walked around and spoke to students and asked them which schools they turned down in favor of UCF. The responses were surprising! I suppose it really make sense to tour the actual school you are interested in for undergraduate. I will tell you that they have an amazing partnership with Lockheed Martin. My friend is one of the directors there and he said the UCF students get many perks by being in the program including interviews for open positions once they graduate.

According to UCF’s numbers, it’s more than a full ride, $36K/year scholarship vs. $33K/year for tuition/fees/books/room/board OOS. That is one of he best financial packages available for NMF.
