I have 2000 hours of work experience(8 months)
Hockey Referee certification
I attended a leadership conference last summer on a scholarship
I plan on attending some sort of summer academic program this summer and I am currently attempting to decide what else to do(possibly community services or an internship) </p>

<p>Do I actually have a realistic shot or am I just kidding myself with U. Chicago?</p>

<p>I think your essays will make or break you. You have decent stats, but your ECs are a little weak. You’re obviously a qualified applicant, but nothing about you really stands out. Maybe the essays will catch the admissions officers’ attention and push you over the edge! I would say low reach.</p>

<p>By the way, how did you get 2000 hours of work experience in 8 months? Even at 20 hours a week, that would still take 100 weeks!</p>

<p>I worked 30 hr weeks during the summer. I question how much they value ECs, since a friend of mine got into the school with a much lesser load. Any advice as to what would make for a solid addition?</p>
