<p>Lots of threads on Chicago vs Northwestern – search for them. This topic has been done to death! Bottom line: Both excellent student bodies, teachers, resources. NU offers a more “typical” college experience, more preprofessional, schools of engineering, communication, journalism, education and music in addition to arts & sciences. Big 10 sports, bigger Greek life, more mainstream in scope. Chicago has a decided quirkiness and more intellectual feel, more unique of a college / experience. Which one is better is in the eye of the beholder.</p>

<p>Incidentally, my great-grandfather went to Chicago and my great-grandmother went to Northwestern (med). How’s that for a remote legacy!</p>
