University of Cincinnati DAP

anyone apply to dual admissions at uccom through uc, dayton, or miami? have you heard anything?

actually, i just got a phone call from someone from the UC "Connections" Dual Admissions Program. (i didn't apply to the other two. Harrison Scholars was too much work for Miami, and Dayton is too close to home.) I'm interviewing on March 14th. The dates are February 15th, March 14th, and March 28th.

^Miami is actually great. That is true that you must apply to Harrison for DAP, however, it is not a big deal at all and you do not have to be a Harrison Scholar to get accepted to DAP. Competition for Harrison is much greater than for DAP spots. Another huge advantage at Miami is that they literally shower you with scholarships and your tuition might be still close to nothing even w/o Harrison. And Honors program is awesome, there is no competition for it either.

Last year, Miami sent interview invitations much later than Cincinnati. Do not lose hope.

how many people apply to each of the schools for this program? is competition level the same at each school for DAP or are some harder than the others?

They do not publish the numbers. Last year it seemed that they tried to match people to undergrad. Some people who got rejected from Cinci, were interviewed and accepted at Miami. Interviews for all are at the same place - Cinci Col of Med by the same person. In acceptence email they indicated that they had a record number of applicants, but did not mention how many. It probably goes up every year like everywhere else.

i didnt apply for honors at miami so is it over for me?i never knew and never said it on the website.u r such a help.thx

^DAP at Miami is given preference to Harrison and then to Harrison applicants.

I know for the fact that you did not have to be chosen Harrison finalist to get to DAP last yesr. I do not know what would happen if you did not apply to Harrison. Did I understand you correctly, you did not apply to Harrison? Because if you did, then you are OK, if you did not, then I would strongly suggest to contact DAP person at Miami and ask them about your chances.
