University of Colorado at Boulder.....housing help :)

I will probably end up going to Boulder as a music major.....I want to live on central campus...can anyone tell me about each hall (and which is the best!!)

Thanks!!

My S goes to CU. He lived in Farrand, which is right on Farrand Field in the middle of campus. Nice on the outside, dump on the inside. But… it’s a great location, as are all the dorms on Farrand Field. It also has a dining hall in the building, which is nice in the bad weather (though the food is pretty gruesome).

Your mission is to avoid ending up in Williams Village. It’s is a high rise located about a mile or so from campus. Shuttle buses go back and forth to/from campus. At a school with lots of nice architecture, Will Vill is the bottom of the heap. It looks like a maximum security prison or perhaps a mental institution. If there’s any chance that you’ll have trouble getting up in the morning to go to class, avoid Will Vill at all costs.

The trick is to get your housing application in on the FIRST day they accept applications. There are about 1500 spaces in the on-campus dorms. The rest are banished to Williams Village.

Good luck. CU is a great place.

What I don’t like about CU is that you can’t apply for housing until you’ve confirmed enrollment… I think I’ll go there, and I’ll decide this week. But I’m probably also going to get banished to Williams because I’ve taken this long to decide.

Oh well, there’s always next year. Go Buffs!

Yea same im not certain im even going to be going there yet (although proabably will)… and im definately not sure if i am going to live on campus or not. I don’t want to pay the extra 9k or whatever and get sent the worst living place. Im going into the leeds school of buisness, so im hoping to get one close to that.

Do you think there is still room in some of the central campus facilities??
