@CB04 My D submitted the decision form a few days before we paid the deposit.
I’m still waiting…I’m oos, public policy, applied mid october
when will this waiting end??? freakin out while my son is chillin :-SS
@dad1023 That’s me, checking the portal every day like a crazy person!!!
@abbyrubycookie Where on the portal were you able to sign up for Decision Day???
@dad1023 I clicked on this link, scrolled down to My Blue Hen Home, put in my password and there it is.
It was very confusing because it has allowed me to register.

Application became complete on 12/6, received confirmation email on 12/13. My grandfather is a graduate and talked to admissions, who said I will likely hear back early in the new year. Fingers crossed!!
@abbyrubycookie do you have confetti & streamers on your portal page? My daughter’s portal updated in October to the confetti and allowed her to register and even pay her deposit but it didn’t have a letter. Eventually she got a link to the letter and invitation to honors program. I think sometimes the portal only partially updates. Send a message to your admissions rep and ask them, they should be able to confirm for you.
Hello, I received this email from Delaware which is my top school on 12/04/17 Dear ___
I am pleased to inform you that your University of Delaware application is now complete and ready for review. The Admissions Committee will take careful consideration of all your credentials before releasing a decision. Within 8 to 12 weeks, you may receive a decision, or we may request additional information such as mid-year grades.
My portal still has not changed. I understand this is a busy time for all colleges, but is this rather good than bad that my portal still remains the same after this email?
Just curious, thanks.
@scinvest I got that email on 11/9 and my portal still hasn’t updated. When they say 8-12 weeks, they aren’t kidding.
Just checked my portal and my major has disappeared, this is a good sign, right? I’ve been reading in this forum that the disappearing of your major typically is a sign of acceptance. Should I be excited or worried? If this is an acceptance, does anyone know when I should receive an official decision?
@nvvsir The disappearing major seems to be the telltale sign of admission. For my daughter acceptance appeared on the portal about 24 hours later.
I guess I spoke too soon! Just checked the portal and my major has finally disappeared (had to have been in the past few hours since I checked earlier today). Really really really hoping for good news in the next few days.
@mellyp2000 Thank you! Submitted application 10/7, everything in according to the portal 10/19, confirmation email 11/9. UD is my top choice and the wait has been killing me.
yikes!!! when I refreshed the page, the course disappeared!! this is it…the moment of truth… :-SS
My S applied on 10/17 and got an email completed on 10/31
Thank you! @mellyp2000 submitted completed app (including test scores, and supplements) 12/06 received confirmation email 12/13. I am also instate.
@abbyrubycookie Lucky you - when I click on the Decision Day link, instead of allowing me to register, it says “please contact admissions”. Wah!
My major just disappeared! Is it confirmed that it means acceptance?
I applied October 30th, I got the application update thing on November 9th and I just noticed my Major disappeared
